What data do we collect and why?

Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — When you accept cookies, we collect anonymous usage data: pages visited, time spent, device type, country, and referral source. This helps us understand which content is useful and improve the site. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Advertising (Google AdSense) — When you accept cookies, third-party advertising partners may collect data to show relevant ads. If you reject cookies, non-personalized ads are shown based on page content only.

Local Storage — We store your style preference and cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie, is not sent to any server, and is used only to remember your choices between visits.

No account or registration — StyleShift does not require registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information unless you voluntarily contact us.

Cookies and consent

StyleShift uses cookies only for analytics and advertising, and only after you give consent via the cookie banner. If you reject cookies, no tracking occurs — but the site remains fully functional.

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for styleshift.design.

Who processes your data?

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC (Google Analytics 4). Advertising data is processed by Google LLC (Google AdSense). Both operate under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Visiiri Consulting Oy does not sell, rent, or share your data with any other parties.

International data transfers

Google Analytics and AdSense may transfer data to the United States. These transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

How long is data retained?

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Advertising data retention is governed by Google's policies.

What are your rights?

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

Access — Request what data we hold about you

Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data

Erasure — Request deletion of your data

Restriction — Request limitation of processing

Object — Object to processing based on legitimate interest

Withdraw consent — Withdraw cookie consent at any time

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@visiiri.fi. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuojavaltuutettu).
